Expecting a child is generally a welcomed affair, an even bigger shock when that one child is found to be two. Visenya and her twin brother Aerys were such a shock for Queen Lyanna, who had been expecting a single child. As such, Visenya is the older of the two twins by a few minutes, becoming the youngest daughter of Lyanna and Rhaegar and one of their last two born children.
Being born into House Targaryen and a princess of the realm, a dragon egg was put in her cradle shortly after she was taken care and cleaned up after a long, hard birth. Healthy and thriving, Visenya was always a lively child from a small babe to the young woman she is today, always having a loud cry or voice, venturing wherever her feet would carry her from the moment she could walk on her own two feet. Nurse maids would find the young princess to have a robust appetite and fussy, and as a toddler she would need a constant close eye on her or she would break away to find new spots in the castle to climb about in. Visenya was fearless, curious, and energetic, being entertained by her toys for only so long before she was trying to climb tables, chairs, or sneaking into rooms she shouldn't.
At other times, Visenya would often be found following her aunts, uncles, and older siblings, always intent to discover what they were up to and would sometimes venture with them on horseback or dragonback. Or, she would accompany her parents now and again while also being tended to for her lessons as she got older. The more Visenya grew, the more out-going, vocal, and free spirited she showed herself to be, sometimes to the point many considered as wild and fierce as the unclaimed dragons within the Dragon Pit. From traditional tasks expected of a lady to horseback to some forms of combat, Visenya made an effort to be a well-rounded individual, even being attentive to the tasks fo court and being a princess, knowing she had certain expectations of her as a princess of the ruling family.
By the time she was getting to her teens, Visenya would find herself traveling more and more throughout the realm, visiting allied houses, getting to know the land, and even visiting her relatives in Winterfell, always excited to spend time with her mother's side of the family. Despite the blood of the dragon that ran strong in her veins, so too did the blood of the wolf seem to sing to her, feeling at home in the cold climate of the North as much as she did the warmer climate of King's Landing. She grew close to her cousins as well as to her older brother Aerion/Jon and her aunt Dany, looking up in particular to her aunt and made it her goal to be just as strong as her someday. Though, the only negative that seemed to exist in her mind was the fact the dragon egg she had gotten as a child never hatched no matter how often she warmed it, traveled with it, spoke with it, whatever she could try. Eventually, Visenya lost hope for the young dragon to hatch, deciding that on her next nameday, she would set out to prove she could tame one of the existing dragons within the Dragon Pit, often going with her family members to spend time with the dragons, observing and watching those not claimed until she settled on one of the fiercer, more dangerous dragons.
On her sixteenth nameday, Visenya snuck out of the Keep early in the hours of the morning, creeping down the Dragon Pit and awaiting for an opportunity to slip past the dragonkeepers. In a foolish act of bravery, Visenya set out to claim Morghul, a male dragon of stormy gray and dark orange, a draogn said to be dangerous and fierce, difficult to work with and not so easy to claim, something proven when Visenya did everything in her power to do just that. Like an angered bucking stallion, Morghul fought the young princess, snapping, breathing flames, twisting his body, harming the princess in the process but unable to shake her grasp, eventually tiring himself out and submitting to his new rider. Though hurt badly, Visenya couldn't resist taking a victory lap around King's Landing upon Morghul, showing herself capable of taking even one of the most difficult dragon's whose name in High Valyrion meant "Death". Afterwards however, the young princess spent weeks recovering, getting severely burned on her left arm and a long claw mark across her back, both now scarred three years later of which she wears with pride.
Though scolded for her foolishness, it wasn't long before Visenya made use of Morghul to show her own power, her untamed spirit, and to become a bigger asset to her family and earning her the moniker as the Untamed Dragon. Three years since, it is next to impossible to keep Visenya out of the sky and she is known to travel across the Seven Kingdoms, patrolling the realm and maintaining peace when and where she can on top of keeping up with her duties back in King's Landing.
