"Robert's Rebellion was built on a lie." - The news were a shock to everyone in the seven kingdoms, still reeling from the betrayal and the lies. Robert I Baratheon is beheaded for his acts of treason and the Lannisters who were responsible for the sacking of King's Landing have been put on a spear. After a great loss to King Rhaegar Targaryen of his wife, Princess Elia Martell. The King remarried to Queen Consort Lyanna Stark who had been partly responsible for the start of the rebellion.
It has been years since the failure of Robert's rebellion, years of great changes within the realm and outside of the realm. Years of the house of the dragon holding on to the iron throne with fire and blood. Tensions have been high ever since the King announced his heir, Crown Prince Aegon Targaryen followed by a marriage of Prince Jon and Daenerys Targaryen. While some think that Westeros is but a peaceful kingdom, they would be lying. The game of thrones has just begun. A Targaryen always sits on the iron throne, while outside forces gather and form alliances, the House of the Dragon calls on their dragons to watch over them in their time of great need.
Dragonstone and Driftmark remain as the steadfast hold of the house of the dragons, it does not waver and their loyalties are but one. With allies flocking to their respective Houses, it is only a matter of time before enemies are ousted and lies are revealed. The Targaryen King knows that it is a matter of time before his enemies knock the relative peace he has managed all through the years. The inevitable war looms as those who have a stake in the game watch with batted breath.
There is one thing for sure...a Targaryen will never relinquish the throne that his forefathers have worked tirelessly to serve. King Rhaegar would rather see the realm burn than to ever lose the iron throne that is for sure.
