{ Character History }:
Your birth causes your mother the greatest pain she had ever felt, she screamed into the pillow that she was provided as not to wake the entire Vale. You are a strong child even through birth and yet you are difficult because you are not an easy birth but a challenging one. The moment you are out of your mother’s womb is a cry from you, a mere simple babe as your mother cries happy tears and saddened ones because now you have left her body and you shall be made into a warrior of the Vale and you shall be made into steel so you are never manipulated even by a simple woman, Lady nor Bastard nor witch. Your birth is beautiful in your mother’s eyes and you don’t correct her because you are still a babe.
You begin your first walk as a practice run as you smile at the wet nurse and you carry yourself up and you begin walking like it had always happened. You laugh and you smile as your mother then your father witness the little miracle that had just happened and you look at your brother who seems to be in awe. You grow up walking from that day on and you walk and walk and you begin to see the advantages it has to being able to go wherever you please. Your growth is not just walking but you enjoy sparring and the sword calls to you like a siren’s call would a mere sailor. You enjoy it so much you rope your brother into it and you both spar together like you should be always.
The Vale is beautiful and you are lucky to be living there you tell yourself as you grow up into a man, you visit King’s Landing to be part of court but you also visit the Kingdom of the North where you bond with your cousins who enjoy it there more than the summer of King’s Landing. You are overjoyed each time you taste Old Nan’s pies and you spar some more with the king, Ned Stark who loves sparring as much as you do. You promise him to always protect his children because the Wolf knows something and you don’t dare question why he would take you to the North’s tombs.
You spar with prince Robb as he grows up quite often when he visits the Eyrie, you show him around and then you show him your favorite spots in the Vale. You know that this boy would grow to be something in the world that you all live in. The death of King Ned Stark is heartbreaking for you because he was such a good friend both to you and your brother. You attend his funeral and you notice the King of the six kingdoms, King Rhaegar Targaryen and Queen Lyanna Targaryen at the side paying their last respect to the fallen king.
Your brother’s wife is something different, she is conniving and yet so manipulative that you are protective of your nephew even from his own mother’s venomous bite. You realize that things have changed when your brother dies suddenly without even being sick. You and your sister both suspect the only one who could have had direct contact with him…his Lady wife who grieves and yet does not grieve as a wife should. The siblings make note of all she does and everywhere she is there is Petyr Baelish who whispers sweet nothings to her as if her grieving period is over.
You are sure that they both conspired to poison your brother but you have no proof so you watch and you listen as the walls of the Vale talk and whisper unto your ear. You smile when you must at Lysa Arryn and you make small talk as if she hadn’t murdered your brother in cold blood. You don’t dare let her out of your sight and you are made the regent Lord of the Vale until your nephew is of age and that is something that even Lysa can never argue about. You are the brother of the dead and since your nephew is still young, it is your duty to remain regent up until his growth and ability to lead them and to bend the knee to King Rhaegar. You vow to teach him how to lead and how to fight and how to do everything his fathe would have had to do but in his stead only you are left.
You are pleased when you watch the look on Petyr Baelish once the regency is announced, you know that he had wanted the title so much so that he had convinced Lysa to betray her Lord husband and kill him just for the title and you are proud when you look at him as he bends his knees to your regency. You have never been this proud before and yet here it is.
